12 3 09 Evening Update from Bruce

The Dr. came in around 3pm today and gave me results on the biopsy, He said there are no signs of rejection, yipee!! He will still keep me overnight to see the results of the blood draw tomorrow morning and then he expects to send me home. We will find out the final results from Mayo Clinic tomorrow or next week.

We have been working through a lot of paperwork for all this stuff today, which is lots of fun! Finally finished up with a good amount of what needs to be done, I guess what I am saying is there is a lot of angles to this type of medical procedure.

I do need to get a message out to the meal train people, First of all, thank you, the food is a blessing and very helpful. I do need to add that we met with a dietitian today and she emphasised that the low salt and fat is very important. Canned products have a lot of salt, Just asking those who bring meals to keep labels in mind, and we don't have labels on what gets delivered. So not to be thankless, but to those who send food please be very aware of the salt mostly, I can cut off the fat.

Thanks everyone involved, The prayers, the fundraising, Thanks, thanks, thanks,

Pray for low creatinine.

  4. After waiting all day he's been released and through a snow storm they drive back to TC. It looks like their jeep was buried under 3' of snow. I'm putting the pictures into the fb page.
Let's hope he can maintain a creatinine level that goes down...
